National Day of Silence to save Internet Radio

Tens of thousands of internet radio webcasters are observing a national Day of Silence today to protest back the Copyright Royalty Board fee hike that is due to take effect July 15, 2007.

To help support this national Day of Silence, please contact your congressional representatives and senators and ask them to support the Internet Radio Equality Act to keep internet radio alive.

Average Joe Cat 2007

As I sit here at the computer with a cat asleep on my lap, writing Word documents and checking emails periodically, I remembered that I've entered this feline, deep in slumber, along with my sister's adorable tuxedo cat, in the 2007 Average Joe Cat in Shoreline, WA on May 5, 2007.

The cat is very average, but in my eyes she's a cutey, and the show should be fun and very interesting. Be sure to check out the Purrfect Pals website and stop by the show if you're in the area! :)

Save Internet Radio

I would strongly urge everyone to visit http://www.SaveNetRadio.org to save Internet Radio. Working from home, I spend several hours a day typing away at the computer, and listen to Internet Radio everyday, enjoying the vast genres of music available, which also helps in maintaining my sanity.

I believe a move to keep Internet Radio alive will also have a dramatic, yet positive effect, on the web of the future.

The joy of snow and ice in Seattle

I've lived in the Seattle area for over 4 years now, and have never experienced a winter like this one. Storm after storm hit us in November and December, including rain, snow, ice, windstorms, flooding, and prolonged power outages, plus a snow storm that hit last night, and brought traffic in the region to an absolute standstill.

I often wonder what's next, and am glad that I am able to work from home. A winter like this one definitely makes you appreciate the wonders of Mother Nature.
